Unzip the file to your SageTV directory. IE:
%PROGRAM FILES%/Frey Technologies/SageTV.
Where %PROGRAM FILES% is the path to your primary ‘Program Files’ directory. Make sure to preserve the directory structure, or else you’ll make a mess.
That’s it!
Now start SageTV, go to the detailed setup -> advanced -> Application File. Now navigate to your STV directory (default is %PROGRAM FILES%/Frey Technologies/SageTV/STVs) and select the ‘meekell_0_5_0.stv’ file. The STV should now load.
To access the settings menu: Go to the main menu and hit your ‘options’ key - usually your ESC key will do this.

Setting up DVD Burning
- Run and install CreateDVD_setup.exe in your ‘%Program Files%/Frey Technologies/SageTV’ directory.
- From the main menu, go to the Settings Menu (defaults to the ESC key, or in the Utilities section of the Main Menu).
- Goto ‘Advanced->External’, Enable DVD Burning
- Select ‘DVD Burning Setup’
- Type in the drive letter of your DVD burner. IE: D: Do not put the backslash.
- Navigate to the folder you want to use as the work directory. Known issue with beta 0.4.0 - When setting up from a client machine, the server’s directory structure will be shown. See the work around below.
- If setting up a client machine, select any directory to finish the setup.
- Close SageTV Client.
- Navigate to your SageTV directory.
- Confirm that SageTV is in fact not running.
- Open the sageclient.properties file in notepad.
- Find the key - kjake/burner/workdir=, and type in your desired folder. Make sure to use the following format: “C\:\Program Files\Frey Technologies\SageTV”. Notice the quotes, the double backslashes and the backslash after ‘C’. This is important, and will be the cause of confusion if not typed correctly.
- Save the file, quit notepad, and restart SageTV Client.
Adding a file to the DVD queue
- From the recordings screen, select any completed recording.
- Select ‘Other Options’
- To add a file to the queue, select ‘add to DVD List’
- To show the queue, select ‘Show DVD List’. The DVD List can also be reached from the main menu, under ‘Media’ at the bottom of the list.
Burning a DVD
Once you have selected all the files you would like to burn:
- Go to the DVD List by one of the methods above.
- Put a blank DVD in the drive.
- Select Burn
Developer’s note: If you leave the burning menu, you will lose status reporting. SageTV should function normally, but it is highly recommended that you keep a blank DVD in your drive to avoid errors burning the files to disc.
A second known issue: Canceling the burn does not actually cancel the burning process, but it will delete the XML files in the burn directory. This should be fixed in the next version.

Where to put your files
- Export your DVD Profiler Database to: %Program Files%/FreyTechnologies/SageTVcollection.xml
- Go to Data Import in the Utilities Menu
- Navigate to, and select the ‘SageTVcollection.xml’ file in the browser that pops up.
- All your imported files will be listed on the top right. Select to remove that title from the import.
- Select Import.
- All the data that matched will be linked to that file within SageTV. You can browse your files in the Import section under Media.
If you don’t get a popup box when going to the ‘Data Import’ screen, and you don’t see any metadata matching up to your movies, go to ‘Settings->Advanced->External->Collection.xml’ and browse to find your xml file. Select it, and go to the Data Import screen.

Please refer to the Sage-Community website’s instructions. You don’t have to download and import the STV refrenced there as it is already integrated into this STV. Instructions are found here.
External Program Launching by mlbdude:
Put *.lnk files for all the programs you want to launch in a folder. You can make an icon show up if you call it the same thing as the .lnk file.
Enable in “Settings->Advanced->Menu Configuration->Main Menu Items”
Set the folder with all your .lnk files in the “Menu Configuration” Menu.
